The Japan Meteorological Agency (JMA) reported during 2-6 Apr 2020 15 explosions that occured at the Minamidake summit crater.

Incandescence continues to be observed from the crater.

The seismic station records 35 volcanic earthquakes and 23 tremors associated with the eruption. The inclinometer and extensometer indicate that the volcano is uplifted and expanded. There is a slight fluctuation.
The warning bulletin states that ballistic impacts of volcanic bombs and pyroclastic flows could affect an area of about 2 km distance from the craters.
